My digital coloring of a delightfully-cute sketch of Ida (left) and Frida by . <3
Rather than having fun lining and coloring a drawing not my own, part of the reason I commissioned this was in looking at her various sketches, I had to see what this style of orca artwork would look like colored.
OOOOOH MYYYY FUDGING GOD!!!! this is soooo absolutely totally amazingly awe-freakin-some!!!!! i love it a 10000000 times!!!! its so cool its so cute its so adorable its so beautiful its just so... digital and.....and... ok i must calm down! I love it you did such a perfect job its so neat! now this really motivates me to start using gimp cuz i have it but struggle to understand the whole thing and control the mouse since i dont have a tablet... but man i should start!!! awesome!
Thank you, for the compliments and for drawing the base on which this was colored.
I can understand the sentiment. By reactions were much the same the first few times I saw my work digitalized, by myself or by others. I can't say whether or not GIMP is the easiest to learn, but once I got the hang of it, I don't know that I could use anything else. Everyone's different, though, and if you find it's not for you, my advance would be to look into other programs like it, to see which one might work best for you.
i would like to try photoshop as well. I just must get my one friend to show me how to use gimp. He figured out in 6 months he is like a genius! lol anyway iŽve been wanting to try digital art for a while but now i really burn to do it!
